Metropolitan United Methodist Church, organized in 1927 with civil rights and justice in the
forefront. Our mission is to bring the members and community into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Our vision is to impact and renew Montgomery, and beyond with the transforming message of Jesus Christ through words and actions.

MEET OUR PASTOR
Pastor Richard T. Williams II is the anointed visionary leader whom God has sent to lead Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Montgomery, AL. Pastor Williams is guiding the church through a period of reconciliation and transformation by forward-thinking and bridge-building. Pastor Williams is the first African American to be appointed by Aldersgate UMC in its’ 100+ year history. He was ordained as an Itinerant Elder in 2015 from the Atlanta North Georgia Annual Conference of the AME church. God has blessed him with an amazing combination of diverse life experiences, which prepared him for his appointment at Metropolitan UMC.

ADULT BIBLE STUDIES
WEDNESDAYS AT 11AM
Welcome to our weekly adult Bible study! Our class meets on Wednesdays at both 11am and 6pm, providing flexibility for those with busy schedules. During our sessions, we dive deep into the Bible, exploring its rich teachings and discussing how they apply to our daily lives. Our study is designed to be engaging and interactive, allowing participants to share their thoughts and learn from one another. Whether you’re a seasoned Bible scholar or simply curious about God’s Word, we invite you to join us for a time of fellowship, learning, and growth. We can’t wait to explore the Bible with you!
SUNDAY SCHOOL
SUNDAYS AT 9AM
Welcome to our virtual Sunday School program designed just for kids! Our class meets every Sunday at 9am and offers a fun and engaging environment where kids can learn about God’s love and grow in their faith from the comfort of their own home. Each week, we explore important Bible stories and values through interactive lessons that are tailored to the unique needs of young learners. We believe that Sunday School is an important part of a child’s spiritual development and we invite you to join us for a morning of learning and fun. We look forward to seeing you online!
